'cause there are crazy people out there. And because the trailer shows you the entire movie anyway.
The art of the movie trailer continues to elude Hollywood as the first look at director Katie Aselton's wilderness thriller makes for yet another preview that gives away several major plot points and strongly hints at certain character deaths.
It's really too bad, as it looks like the element of surprise plays a major part in this flick, with Aselton also co-starring along with Lake Bell and Kate Bosworth (who's a pro at this sort of scenario following her turn in last year's "Straw Dogs" remake) as a group of childhood friends who embark on a weekend getaway that ends up becoming a fight for survival when they come across a group of redneck hunter-psycho-rapist-killers with vague ties to their past.
Anyway, if you don't care either way, check out the trailer below, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "Black Rock" premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and will hit theaters on May 17, 2013.
